What is Black World?
bfi Black World is a major national collaborative project which launched in June 2005. Over 40 national projects and events took place between then and November 2005, including local and national film seasons, film and DVD releases, education projects, workshops, mixed-media music and film events, a special Sight & Sound publication.
If you missed any events and would like to relive the experience, check out Nu-Visions, a website designed by young people to give their view of Black World and also provide personal opinions and information on how to get into film and TV. It also features a unique showcase of the next generation of media talent.

Blacktronica DJ Sessions
Following a successful series of events as part of Black World, the acclaimed club night has taken up a long-term monthly residency at the NFT preceded by some thematically related films.
